On June 7, 1991, Stanley Fuller, a seminary student with a desire of one day planting a church in Fort Worth, met with Tom Hardy and Ray Steward. They met in Ray’s office for the first time to discuss how they could begin to make a difference in the communities in which they lived. During this same period, Ted Norwood was in his last year of seminary and had plans of planting a bible church in Fort Worth as soon as he finished his study in 1992.
In July of 1991, Stanley invited Ted to one of their bible studies in his home. Soon after Ted and Stanley began discussing planting a church in Fort Worth. On July 20, 1992, Dr. Ruben Connor, president of Urban Evangelical Mission officially affirmed Fort Worth Bible Fellowship as a UEM network ministry with Ted and Shirley Norwood as missionary church planters. After 23 years of faithful service as the pastor of Fort Worth Bible Fellowship, Ted went home to Jesus Christ in July 2015. On February 21, 2016 Reverend Mark A. McGee, formally the Associate Pastor of Forest Hill Community Bible Church, was installed as the Pastor of Fort Worth Bible Fellowship.
