
Sunday School Under the department of Christian Education, this ministry involves teaching lessons primarily to children and insuring the planning, preparation and distribution of all materials. There will be training in preparation for this ministry.

Children Church Under the department of Christian Education, this ministry involves children teaching and activities. It also includes planning and preparation of snacks for the classes. This ministry will also include expansion into Wednesday evening teaching program for our children. There will be training in preparation for this ministry.

Usher/Greeter Under the department of Worship, this ministry involves services provided to the congregation during the worship time. Handing out of materials, seating arrangements and guarding of the sanctuary doors as appropriate. This ministry ensures orderliness of the worship services. The Greeters make sure that all who come through the doors are warmly greeted and that first time visitors are given information about FWBF.
“So they and their children were in charge of the gates of the house of the Lord, the house of the tabernacle, by assignment.” 1 Chronicles 9:23
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Psalm 110:4
Ministry Coordinator: Brother Don Polk
Ushers will serve the saints by ensuring that the worship service is conducted reverently and orderly. The Ushers will:
- Dress
- Men dress in suit jacket or usher shirts, women in skirts and usher shirts.
- Wear tags or embroidered shirt to be identified as an usher.
- Maintain Order
- Doors will be guarded during appropriate times
- Ushers will close and guard doors of the sanctuary during the Lord’s communion. There will be no entry allowed once communion begins. Doors will be open for entry and exit once communion is completed.
- Will prevent walking at inappropriate times
- Serve the Saints
- Provide handouts as necessary.
- Provide giving envelopes as necessary.
- Provide prayer request cards as necessary.
- Aid those looking for seating.
- Be positioned in the sanctuary to have visibility of all the congregation.
- Maintain the sanctuary
- Ensure that all litter, programs, papers, are removed at the end of worship service.
- Ensure seats in the sanctuary are put back in order at the end of worship service.
If there are information or programs for the time of gathering the Ushers will hand out the information at the time of entrance into God’s sanctuary.
Worship Greeters will welcome each person entering the doors of FWBF with smiles and blessings. The importance of each one being made to feel loved and welcomed as soon as they enter God’s house cannot be overstated. The Greeters will:
- Service:
- Greeters will be in service from 10:15 until 10:45
- Anyone entering or leaving God’s house will have the door held open for them
- Any first-time visitor will be given a welcome Visitor Packet.
Greeters will be especially mindful of visitors and answer any questions they may have concerning the service and facilities.
Prayer Ministry will include being available from 10:15 to 10:30 to pray for those who request prayer and to be available at planned times for corporate prayer.
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,” 1 Tim. 2:1-5

Comfort Care & Compassion, this ministry will coordinate the sending of flowers and condolences to the sick or bereaved, making calls and visits to those who need comfort.

Hospitality & Event Planning/Preparation, this ministry involves the planning, preparation and set-up for church events and activities. This ministry also involves kitchen management, maintenance and potluck planning.

Building Beautification ministry involves decorating and beautifying the sanctuary and its upkeep for appropriate themes and or seasons.
